We held a FREE Book Keeping Workshop for aspiring entrepreneurs on Tuesday the 24th of May 2022 from 10:30am until 12 noon. This event was held online and lead by our guest speaker, Lisa Moynagh.Β
From a young age, Lisa always had a passion for business and numbers. In 2010 she became a Chartered Accountant and then spent the subsequent 8 years working in various finance departments. With this experience, Lisa witnessed first-hand the importance an efficient finance function can have in running any successful business as well as the vital role it can play in controlling operations and providing strategic direction to the overall business. She is using this wealth of industry knowledge to now help aspiring entrepreneurs get on their feet and keep their finances tidy.
This book keeping workshop will help simplify and demystify bookkeeping; understand why bookkeeping is necessary; bookkeeping systems; how to store financial records; and types of financial records.
Participants will gain an understanding of the purpose of bookkeeping and how to manage financial records in their new start up business.
We also cover registering with HMRC for Self-Assessment online.
